Our Story

Sarasota Native Bruce Saba started BW Saba in 1981 with an intent to use his passion and creative skillset as a builder to help clients navigate the complexities of building beautiful custom homes that could be enjoyed for generations to come. Throughout the years, he’s worked with dozens of Architects, designers, and clients on unique architecturally pleasing projects that dot the Sarasota coastlines. In addition, Bruce has built a solid team of employees and local trades who excel at professional integrity, collaboration, and quality workmanship.

Bruce Saba has been building unique custom homes since 1980.

What We Do

At BW Saba, we believe that with the right team in place, bringing a dream home to life can be a positive and rewarding experience. With a combined six decades of construction experience and a down-to-earth, client-centric mentality, the BW Saba team maintains focus on honesty and clear communication, with not only its clients, but everyone involved in the project - from Architect to subcontractor - so that the client’s true intent for the home is manifested. This includes early collaboration with the design and engineering team to discuss innovative materials and building systems to preserve the home’s ecosystem. It’s all about balance of beauty, luxury and the sustainability of the home.

Our Cape Dutch style home on St Armands was built so the house could remain at grade - 5.5 feet above sea level - in case a wheel chair was part of our future. Bruce managed to avoid all steps throughout the house and grounds except for two steps down to the dock. And Bruce worked magic with beautiful cypress, Florida's native wood, sometimes paneling a room, sometimes a ceiling. Huis aan Zee has been likened to a little jewel, an apt description for this wonderful residence that is fit for one's senior years.
